JOB INTERVIEW PLANING DOCUMENTS

for this project we had to create and plan a short instructional video for a successful interview.

The planning for this short project originally started on a large A2 piece of paper where we listed different ideas for this project.

THE SCRIPT

Interview tutorial video- 
PAGE BREAK 
INTERVIEW TUTORIAL VIDEO - THE GOOD BIT  
Character 1’s phone rings. They then answer the phone to hear someone talking 
girl on phone 
Is that (character 1) speaking 
Interviewee 
Yes, it is. 
        GIRL ON PHONE 
This is regarding your interview that you had with us yesterday and we would like to congratulate you and offer you the job at Apple. An email will be sent to you on your start date 
     INTERVIEWEE 
(surprised voice tone) Wow thank you! That’s great news!  
        GIRL ON PHONE 
We will be in touch shortly with more details! 
Phone call ends 
End of scene 
Reverse footage to show start of day of interview.  
An alarm sounds  
Scene begins with shot of phone alarm being turned off. A list next to do 
CHARACTER 1  
(groans)Interview today (yawns) Best get ready.  
Picks up to do list can see “iron suit” has already been ticked  
Shots of character getting ready - see storyboard for this, can place music over the top of this. 6666 
(character then walks to interview and walks into a building where they are greeted by a receptionist who shows them to the waiting room) 
 RECEPTIONIST 
Hello how may I help? 
INTERVIEWEE 
Yes hello, I’ve got an interview for a job here.  
RECEPTIONIST  
Yes, if you just take a seat there and Mr./Mrs. Interview will be with you shortly.  
Points to seating area. (character 1 walks over and takes a seat) 
Character 1 begins to think inside their head 
 INTERVIEWEE  
Keys, (feels pocket)  
phone on silent (pulls out phone and checks) check, 
Documents (pulls out pieces of paper from pocket) check, 
Hair, (feels hair corrects it) check  
breath check,  

>> THIS IS WHERE YOU CAN HAVE YOUR OWN NAME IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY GIVEN YOUR INTERVIEWEE A NAME.  
 MR. INTERVIEW 
(name here) Hello I am (interviewers name here)  
 
MR. INTERVIEW 
So… You have applied to be our new accountant. I will be interviewing you and will contact you in a couple days of the result but for now shall we continue.  
INTERVIEWEE  
Yes, you may. 

MR. INTERVIEW 
Why do you want this job? 

INTERVIEWEE 
I’ve had a lot of experience working with people on a personal level doing their accounting and now I think I am ready for a new challenge to do for a major company on a large scale  

MR. INTERVIEW 
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 

INTERVIEWEE 
I see myself with this company I want to work with a large-scale company such as this I want to be at the top and do this for a long time.  
MR. INTERVIEW 
You said about you’ve worked accounting for people on a personal level can you share any personal experience for it  
INTERVIEWEE 
There was this old man I worked with for 7 years he had won the lottery and didn’t know what to do with his money so he contacted the agency I was working with at the time and they assigned to me where I then worked with him accounting for him managing his accounts so he didn’t have to worry.  
MR. INTERVIEW 
Can I ask the amount of money you were wrong with?  
INTERVIEWEE 
I don’t want to discuss the full amount, but I can say it was an 8-figure sum.  
MR. INTERVIEW  
So, a large amount for a personal level then?  
 INTERVIEWEE 
Yes, for one person a large amount 
MR. INTERVIEW 
Well that’s all the questions I have so do you have any questions for me?  
INTERVIEWEE 
Yes, with this job do I gain any extra benefits? 
MR. INTERVIEW  
Yes, you do in fact. Every year the top accountant will earn a bonus as well as a Christmas bonus you are also entitled to holiday pay 
MR. INTERVIEW 
So that is the end of the interview like I said before I will give you call later for your result. Thank you very much. 
INTERVIEWEE 
THANK YOU VERY MUCH  
Firm handshake then happens and character 1 leave the room while Mr interview rustles papers stays seated while the character 1 leaves 

Scene then reverts to scene 1 where character 1 receives a call from the interviewer.  


THE END  

The script is written to last about 3 to 5 minuets as specified in the brief.




This Recce Report is describing the interview rooms at The College Of West Anglia located in the Reception block at the fronton the campus.
